Two times the Job Half the sleep.

Picked up a paper route before work on bainbridge. More money for me, but not as much as it could be. Gas being as exspensive as it is kind of cuts into the profits but it gives me a chance to drive like a fucking mad man at 1-5 am in the morning. Doing a paper route is a different type of work, its just you the car and a time clock. You sort of feel like a racecar driver with more obstacles. Havent hit anything yet but had some adrenline pumping close ones. Have to be work by 6am to go and throw trash till 2:30-3pm. Pick up the kid at school and head home usually getting there about 5-6pm, hit the hay by 8pm.

I would have thought that the lack of sleep would have started to get to me but I have found that I have found some sort of Zen power sleeping which allows me to wake up feeling pretty good. Im not shure if its the work that jazz's me or what but I feel more empowered now then ever. Thou I have noticed side effects which I wont go into as they are mostly personal.

All in all, if you havent heard from me as of late, email/phone wise its because I have been running the streets of Bainbridge at a consistent 30-50 mph.

Another week of the same nightmare, *sigh* little sleep, body isnt able to recuperate and I am really starting to feel it. Fell asleep on my daughters bed playing with her, woke up to her crying looking at me, had another nightmare must have freaked her out with my russling around.

Not shure whats going on, if I am eating sugar and I am not aware of it, or to much caffeine. Going to try some things to see if they help.

Norwescon.

I am freaking exhasuted. Walked around a bunch but that was not what was tiring. I think it really takes alot out of you to be EXTREMELY social. I mean willing to confront anyone, ANYONE and discuss them and the things you want them to know from you. Kind of a weird forum I mean you couldnt just stand in the hall and pass out flyers so you had to become the flyer, passing yourself out to a passerby and try to get them to get the info you wanted to get out there.

All in all I think we did really good getting the name of the game out there, saw some old faces and some current ones, shout out to all of those that made it out to help us, THANK YOU!!

Beholders went over well and I can not express enough how I appreciate the artistic geniuses that we have at game that are so willing to help us out.

Back to the salt mines.

My Legacies Update

Right, great, Ok!

So event went off alright. Not quite as well as I would have liked but hey when the fuck do I honestly think it will go off as I planned?
SmallCatBrain ended up having to work the weekend of the event, last minute suprise, oh and he also managed to not let me know that the projects he was supposed to do with the week off from work he had he didnt do, at the last minute. So besides that shit in my hand to work with I still made most of it happen, yeah me.

Friday night, merchants couldnt hire a single bodyguard so they headed off to the woods to get wacked. Kind of frustrating that people bitch about no work but when we do offer it they act like they are above it. The dover temple module went off awesome, I must say the Martha stewart idea of using brown paper bags with tea lights inside made the bunkers really look like this creepy temple ruins. Got much satisfaction from the players involved in this, wish I would have got some pictures thou, it really was impressive.

Saturday morning started off with Grekos bro Odell coming to town, huge battle. I really must get it through my head that the players are cowards. I mean honestly any time somthing big comes out of plot they run to either the tavern or there cabins to fight whatever it is off. For once I would love to see the players band together and just fight in a huge field battle instead of through possibly easily broken doors and windows. But ahwell. I wonder if anybody even noticed that all of the npcs where in kilts? The spear Dog_guy made for Odell was impressive. The cockatrice went off very good, 4 pcs ended up biting the white headband, really wish there would have been an older player there that would have rememebered the cure to petrification but its cool in the future I will make shure to put the info out beforehand. BB&R kicked some ass thou I got some fake blood ( colored soap ) in my eyes and that stings like holy hell. Plus the after effects of the soap on my skin felt like a sunburn, really do not recommend it.

Dungeon crawl on Saturday night got fucked over by 7 mundanes who decided to play flashlight tag that night, I am not really pissed off at that because its not somthing we could have forseen and having to share the bunkers was deffinetly a downer, but it deffinetly bummed out my team and myself that are hard work was for naught. Had to send Papa smurf out later thou to follow the 7 mundanes because they where seen loitering around the cars and other places where people keep there personal stuff, not cool, really wish I got a chance to smash one of there faces in.

Ahhhh!!! so much more to rant about stuff that I could have gone in more detail about but I cant spend all day on this. Will have to piece mail it out.

Ok so I am at work today and for help I get the nefarious " Strawberry ". He is called strawberry because he went to Strawberry alternative high school. The guy is well over twice my age and a nitwit. Today we where picking up a 2 yard dumpster similar to what you might have seen at like a apartment complex when the damn thing flies off the truck hits me knocking me literally off my feet and flying about 4 feet away. Needless to say when I get up to find him behind the controls of the operation that picks up the container he goes to great lengths to explain to me how the concrete slab, the part that the container sits on is at fault. The container was off the ground, was no where near the slab, the moron just forgot to hook the container into the " dogs " and it came off. Mark down 1 near death experience within the first 2 hours of work.

We happen to find some porn on the route, no big suprise this is the norm. Thou strawberry feels the need to take a minimum of 20 minutes sitting in the truck reading through the porn while I work. The whole time he is doing this his commentary is along the lines of how much makeup this asian chick is wearing. You know what dude, if you want to attempt to kill me on the job and then read a bunch of porno while we should be working well you can just suck sake out of my asshole while my grandma watches, eat shit you monkey looking motherfucker.

Ahh fucking great, and I get to work with this guy for the rest of the week!!! At least I have friday off so that I can go to legacies and relieve my weeks aggresion out on the playership. So looking forward to THAT.

So its payday friday morning and I am at the texaco to pick up there dumpster. Pull forward stop, put in reverse check both mirrors back up, hear honking noise, stomp brakes, hear crashing noise. So this guy in a volvo wanted to get to the air pump so he could pump up his front tire and to do so he had to try to squeak by my truck to get to it, not knowing I was going to back up and bam. The good thing is that he dosent want to put it on his insurance ( I mean with a $200 deductible, sheesh ) the only damage done was a corner light and a running light. The problem is whos fault was it? I was backing up with lights, back up alarm and hazards on and he was pulling forward. We compromised since his vehicle was the only one damaged I said I would buy him some new lights ( new is a figure of speech going to check the junk yards first ) and he would not claim me at fault for the damage to the hood/paint. So yea fun morning, hope I have expelled all of my bad kharma in one crashing accident this month. *crosses fingers*

So we have this calender in the kitchen that has beautiful photos taken of state parks. Im making my brekfast/lunch for the day and I glance over at the calender and notice somthing I havent seen before about it, Under the name of the park ( Cannon Park this month ) is a small little quote. This months quote " To make peace one must understand war ". Besides the picture of the beautiful landscape I do not understand why they had to ugly this month with a quote such as that.

War and peace, book title yes, but also an important basis for much debate. Do we really have to war to obtain peace?

One of the shows that I am watching right now ( I have a habit to engross myself in movies during the week ) is the back episodes of Farscape. One of the intresting things about this sci fi is that they really go into the alien races that the main character encounters. For instance the Nybari are this race of people who use mind control to format all of there citizens. One of the other characters asks the Nybari if one of there war ships was used in an attack on another ship there reply was " We dont have war ships. "

So does that mean for us humans to have peace without war we need to master mindcontrol?

Never mind me this is just a " mindless " rant.

Ok so Itunes is doing this thing where 1 in 3 pepsi caps gives you a free song download. Figure we pick up in the 10,000 marks of pepsi bottles a day so yea you do the math. I finally will be able to get all the music I have ever wanted to download for free. Yes, yes its garbage but it can be a great job sometimes.

Also in recent news I am on a streak with the lucky 20 caps where you can get a free soda, I am at 5 right now and seeing as I have no spare change as of yet to purchase a soda I am hoping my lucky streak holds out for the week. Wish me luck.

Just wanted to give a public thank you to my bro El Chupa for hanging out with me this weekend. I got to go out friday night and do some gaming down in olympia with some friends that I must apolagize to for falling asleep near the end there. I didnt get home till near 4am after game which meant I had been up for about 24 hours. Mind you I know alot of people that can stay up for a long lenght of time but my physical labor job and normal sleep routine took the best out of me that night. Hopefully next game I will make shure to take a nap before attending.

Chupa spent the night/morning and saturday we made a trip to Silverdale, then back to the home town to catch some food at our old favorite El Sombrero. Later after that we did a quick junk crawl through Great Prospects and gave me some ideas for stuff to go back for, going to wait for there sidewalk sale first thou. Sunday I spent some time with Monster at the park and pretty much had a nice laid back weekend. Thank you for helping with that bro, watching Monster during those times I needed quick breaks to do things and pretty much just hanging out with me.

Its so different to be in a crowd of friends not being barraged with questions about Legacies as it is to bullshit and remember the good old days.

So I have been reading through some friends lj's and thinking about some of my close friends to me. One thing that most people around me have in common is that they are all in some way or another mystically " in touch ". Some of my friends are Pagan others are pretty much into the occult. You know what, I have a fairly good understanding of all of these things but they all for some reason seem to come ot the same conclusion that I am some sort of mystical blackhole. Anyone care to explain this to me? I have heard things before about how supposively I am a " new " spirit and others which say its just because I do not believe in the true parts of what makes up the mystical awareness, but the greatest one is about how I am this mystical blackhole. I mean mystical people dont even like to be around me for to long because I 'drain' them. Anyone care to explain to me how I became this sort of catalyst? You know I look at the parts where people are telling me about what makes up there totems, or how they follow ceartin teachings and beliefs of ceartin gods even how they put together the spells they weave.

But in the end I end up with Jack, I end up being Mr.Blackhole. Yeah for me.

Of recent news my thoughts have really been of the non-good as of late, I really have desires to hurt people around me ( noone is specific ) I just feel that by lashing out I will deffiently be justified and feel better. Dont get any wrong ideas, I am not hearing any voices or anything I just find myself so goddamn angry as of late, so just the fyi if it comes off like I am mad at you. Its not you, its everything.

Legacies event.

Ok so after talking to Meta_Diva after last event I found out some stuff about myself that I sort of new but had not confirmed.

The week before event I am a complete and utter asshole. Its that simple, I really rag on the people around me that I care about and are trying to help me. I get so tense about trying to make shure that everything gets done right and that I dont forget anything that I normally forget a minimum of three things and botch about three things also. I dont know why I guess its my aim to please the playership I mean they really can turn on you if things are not " to there liking ". Somthing I really need to think about thou because it is hurting the people around me.

Its not just about being an owner and making shure everyone follows the rules of the site and does not do somthing completely stupid. Its also being the Head of plot which brings onto it the big hat of " ringmaster ". Everytime we do opening cermonys I start to tense as I anticipate how things are going to run. As a head of plot I am horrible, I dont mean in like running the event because I think I do that pretty damn good. The storys and follow ups to the the storys are strong, people enjoy them and get involved. Its my plot team I am most horrible too. They know I dont have faith in quite a few of them and that my expectations of what they can do is unrealistic. I would like to think that I dont expect anything from them that I dont of myself but that might be asking for it. I know not everyone can devote as much time as I have to the game but for some reason I feel they should. Bah! Look I am assuming that they are not devoting as much time as I do. Not a good trait its just the frame of mind im in. Need to think outside the box... Yes.. thats it.

I guess I will need time to lean back and assess the situation, which is like my biggest perk is that I have always had the ability to do this. Just sometimes I dont because I am in a rush to get things done.

Need to have more faith in my team even thou I know ceartin aspects of plot the ARE NOT CAPABLE OF IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM! Ok there was my rant im done. I can work around this and can encorporate them into the plot team so they do not feel as if I am sitting over them ready to crack the whip should they botch a plot line. No biggie I should say its just a game, not ignore them for the next few hours because I am pissed. Grr! Its not somthing I can do myself and they know this as much as me! But for some reason I take alot on myself and give them very little to do but what I tell them too. I will work through this.

Despite all the above tantrums and angriness this last event was the most fun I have had in a long time. The beholders, well where somthing that noone should have missed. The players reactions where so priceless worth 1000 words. Everyone was so cool and polite. I honestly think that mabye I prefer smaller events. I feel everyone gets to feel the effects of the storylines better. Thou I am really suprissed that noone investigated into why the local lesser wildlife squirrels, cats and stuff went rabid and became like the fucking toxic avengers. Hmm maybe need to stress it a little more.

Movie Review : Queen of the Damned.

Ok first off my fiance had previously vetoed my privilage of renting this movie because she had no itention of ever watching it. Having a weekend to myself last weekend I decided to pick it up because I am a huge fan of vampire movies.

First off despite the title Queen of the Damned the movie is 9/10ths about the vampire : Lestat who in acutality is a male character not the queen of the damned. Not having read the Anne Rice novels myself and only having seen the movie : Interview with a Vampire I had a good idea who Lestat was but did not know much of Anne Rice's world of vampires.

The movie starts out by Lestat being the narrator and talking about the woes of living forever, essentially about how boring it could be untill one day when he wakes up in the 21st century. Supposively Lestat is awoken by the sound of loud music being played in his previously abandoned estate. Lestat upon arriving at the band wows them with his musical voice ( who sounded familiar at first but left me guessing to who the voice belonged too. ) and essentially gives them the option of becoming his band or die.
Cut to the chase Lestats band gets huge and he plans on having this single concert in California's Death Valley, a single concert because he does not believe he will live past one. Lestat has apparently forgone all of the original vampire laws about hiding in secrecy and has been using his title as a vampire to pump his band. Supposivelly all the other vampires are out to get him for breaking there law.
During the time of this it flashes to the Talamasca which any in the paranormal know as the center of the world. Essentially the Talamasca was a organization built long ago to look into paranormal activites, they actually do exist and sponsor many side projects like research by universities into telpathic and other such mental powers. They also have been known to license ghost hunters or people who do research on " haunted " houses.
So this lady from the Talamasca is really intrested in the vampire Lestats lyrics in his songs and believes that there is info in them about vampire kind, well there is and she finds out about it. Eventually she confronts Lestat and they have this psuedo love scene type thing that goes on and is pretty much boring in my opinion throughout the movie.
Aaliyah plays a very minor but at the same time major character in the movie being the essential bad ass bad guy, who also becomes one of Lestats lovers ( this guy gets around. ).

The movie was good in the aspect that it showed lots of vampire power, unlike movies like Blade where it shows one guy wading through them like a chainsaw through cheese. Not so much guns and swords type combat but lots of flying around ala ode to Lost Boys type combat. The movie satisfys my curiosity about who Lestat was from the first movie Interview with a vampire but leaves me still curious about what vampires still are in Anne Rices world. Satisfied with the movie yes, would I recommend it? Maybe, depends how much into vampires you are.

The voice of Lestat while singing, Jonathan Davis from Korn who makes a cameo in the movie as a guy selling tickets to his own concert very tounge in cheek humor but hillarious if you spot it.
